After rising to fame in the 1950s with his innovative designs – among them a bubble dress – it was only fitting that the French fashion designer, Pierre Cardin, would go on to own a "Bubble Palace." Since taking ownership of the home in the early 90s, according the Daily Mail, Cardin has hosted the likes of Marion Cotillard and Pierce Brosnan, and even allowed Dior to show its cruise 2016 collection there in May of this year.

But it seems the fashion legend, now 93, has grown bored of the star-studded estate, which sits outside of Cannes, France. While he has been renting it out for the hefty price of $1,125 a day, Cardin just listed the home for a whopping £300 million, roughly $335.8 million in U.S. dollars.

Built in 1989 by architect Antti Lovag, the design is meant to evoke a playful spirit, and mimic the rocky cliff it rests on above the Mediterranean Sea.

The outside may look like a maze of spheres, but inside, the floor plan is largely open, offering nearly 13,000 square feet of living space. Other luxuries include three swimming pools, lush gardens, and a 500-seat amphitheater.

Cardin, pictured above at the home in 2003, is rumored to be considering selling his entire company, the Daily Mail reports, and the listing of his Bubble Palace may simply be the first move in simplifying his empire.
